To empower the less fortunate people in socio-economic upliftment through people’s organization, imparting training, human resource development, education, legal aid and human rights, mediation and mitigation of family and social conflict and also economic activity by mobilizing local and external resources.
To achieve the goal IMI priorities the people and their participation in the development process. It believes that people can bring about changes in their own condition through individual and collective efforts and changes must be made both in attitudes, beliefs and perceptions for sustainability.
IMI’s development mission is based on the conviction that paramount need of the people is not relief but release the way to develop them by releasing their potential powers for personal, economic, human rights, social and civic growth.
